Bauer, one of the longest established manufacturers of gear motors in the world, exhibited its latest IE4 products and celebrated its expansion into the Chinese market at this year’s Hannover Fair. Now part of the global Altra Industrial Motion Group, Bauer is used Europe’s most popular industrial event to launch the company’s new philosophy: ‘Solutions today for the world tomorrow’ and also promote its new Chinese manufacturing centre.

This year the Hannover Exhibition’s partner country was China; the exhibition being the ideal platform for the country to announce its commitment to improving efficiency in the next stages of its development. This partnership marries perfectly with the Bauer stand and the latest developments from the company.

Philip Crowe, Marketing Manager of Bauer Gear Motor, comments: “As the fastest growing economy in the world, China’s involvement at the exhibition would be exciting at any time. For us it is doubly so as it comes at a time of activity for us in the area. Last month we opened a new assembly facility in Shenzhen which will allow us to offer shorter lead times to our existing customers while also offering a platform to develop new business in the region.”

Bauer is keen to promote the role that efficiency plays in operational success and long term cost savings. ‘Solutions today for the world tomorrow’, brings to the forefront the importance of considering long term cost implications when specifying new products. Bauer is able to calculate the total cost of ownership when specifying products to help customers make informed choices. It is important to specify products that can operate within the required specifications in the most efficient manner possible to reduce high future running costs.

The stand also hosted Bauer’s latest super premium efficiency (IE4), permanent magnetic synchronous motors. The new offering from Bauer operates at an exceptionally high level of efficiency compared to induction motors, even under partial load. They offer high load capacity which allows smaller sizes to be specified per application; this leads to low life-cycle costs and a fast payback period – a futureproof investment.

Philip continues: “We have plans for growth in our traditional European market as well as into the emerging global markets. Visitors are welcome to enjoy the hospitality on offer while speaking to the sales team about the latest product available and how they can provide them with long-term savings.”
